Canadian Trucks Sold at Krietz Auto

Canadian Trucks Sold at Krietz Auto

Why there’s no cause for concern

Like many dealers, Krietz Auto will import some of its truck inventory from Canada. This can cause some confusion and concern among potential truck buyers. We’re here to reassure you that at Krietz Auto, we take great care in selecting ALL of our inventory, including trucks sourced in Canada.

Not only is every vehicle sold at Krietz Auto backed up by our certification program, but each truck is thoroughly inspected and tested for quality control before it’s sold. With all that said, we know there are questions you may still have about “Canadian trucks.” Here are the most frequently asked questions we hear, along with the information you need to know to feel comfortable driving home in your next Krietz Auto truck!

Why do we purchase trucks from Canada?

We purchase trucks from Canada because we are able to get nicer truck packages in these vehicles. It is harder to find these in the more southern states.

Are the trucks made in the US and transferred to Canada?

Yes. Does the factory warranty transfer? Factory warranties are transferable for Ford and Chevy trucks. These vehicles originally come from the US. We only purchase Ford and Chevy for this reason.

Will the banks in the US finance a Canadian vehicle?

Yes, banks will finance a Canadian truck. The process is no different.

Is it harder to register a Canadian truck in the US?

No, it is not harder to register a truck sourced in Canada. There is no difference between that and an American truck. They must be registered in the US before they can be sold.

Does the vehicle have rust or corrosion due to salt?

We actually avoid purchasing vehicles from New York or Pennsylvania due to the fact that they use salt for the roads. We like to purchase vehicles from Massachusetts and further up north(Canada) because they use sand for inclement weather as opposed to salt.  Additionally, we are happy to provide pictures of the undercarriage of any vehicle you’re interested in or address any other areas of concern.

Will the Odometer be changed from Kilometers to Miles?

Once they pass back over the border, they get switched from Kilometers to Miles.  Ready to get behind the wheel of one of our premium Certified Pre-Owned trucks? Check out what in our current inventory of vehicles
